I loved this, especially the gossip part. People have had this misconstrued reality as to what it is as something laced with malicious intent but it isn't really, not exactly. I also loved what you said on attention seeking
I love the reframing of ideas you outlined here. I feel like calling these definitions into question can help us to remember that we don’t need to be so hard on each other or ourselves, we’re all human at the end of the day! Not everything is as it seems, or as society deems it to be initially. Thanks for sharing another great read!
As someone who has been called "attention- seeking" for minute things– been called "sensitive" when i feel things a bit too deeply, i truly loved this post. I realise that i'm not alone in such situations and sometimes, the definition is wrong.
"And maybe the real problem started long before that, when reciprocity disappeared and helping stopped being mutual."
I really like this view. Last year, I decided to let the ship sink, on a manner of speaking. I discovered that even my best friend found it an imposition to text and plan things first. I was so mortified. Right now, I don't mind being called selfish because of my boundaries and the careful preservation of my energy.
i love ittt!!!
