Beautiful. However, if you're choosing to share as a manner of documenting what is being suggested to document. And there are people present in your life who are capable of more than just 'viewing' your social.
You should be legally able to protect yourself, rather than simply your peace.
Agreed! There’s something so nice about not being “out there” all the time. Like, choosing when you want to show up and who actually gets access… it just hits different.
Life genuinely feels better when everything isn’t on display. Not every moment needs an audience!? Some things feel richer when they’re just yours- shared only with the people who really get you.
Being seen is whatever. Being selective is the real flex.
This was beautifully written and it truly resonated with me. I feel like this pressure to have it all figured out is exacerbated by a constant sense of comparison and sometimes FOMO, but also this idea that we can all carve our path. In many ways, our generation is increasingly critical of past social norms and expectations and while that it is a good thing, perhaps it does contribute to this feeling of being lost and just wandering on the path of life.
This article really spoke to me as someone that plucks every flower in my garden to show people I’m a gardener I felt it…… and yes this is the confirmation I need that not everything needs to be out there and I’d learn to keep things private ❤️much love to the writer
